6 Months Already!

  • Favorite word: Baaaaa Raaaaa
  • Favorite song: Ho Hey by The Lumineers because Mommy and I dance it together
  • Favorite food: Everything. I am one hungry girl. I can't see anyone put anything in their mouth because I'll want it. I have eaten everything from eggs, to chocolate, rice, chicken, pork, french fries. My mommy has to hide when she eats because then she would have to feed me again, even if I just ate
  • Favorite trick: I splash in the bathtub when Daddy says the word Splash
  • I smile the biggest when: I see my sister play with her friends and dance like a ballerina
  • Favorite person: Daddy, I love my play time with Daddy every afternoon
  • Newest discovery: I can sit (only for a few seconds) and I can roll over comfortably
  • Favorite activity: I love being walked around facing forward
  • Least favorite activity: I don't like to be away from my sister
  • I cry when: I have a dirty diaper

  • My sister and her friends organized a fun 6 month celebration for me.
The best part is that I got to eat cake.

    Ice Cream For All

We celebrated the arrival of Fall by going on an ice cream excursion.

Noodle didn't try ice cream until she was almost 2 years old. The plan was for Tashi to wait and try it when she was older as well; however, as Mommy was eating hers Tashi almost threw herself into the bowl, so Mommy decided to give her a try. No surprise to anyone, she loved it!

    Five Months

Our Tashi just turned 5 months. From month to month the changes are immense. She is now so much more aware of her surroundings, very observant, taking it all in.

  • Favorite word: Aaaaaaaa Gruu Aaaa
  • Favorite song: Mr. Michael, I have become a regular at my sister's music class and enjoy it very much
  • Favorite food: Pears, bananas and anything sweet I can get my mouth on. I do not like vegetables or salty things
  • Favorite trick: When I want something I can concentrate and get my hands to go there and I can get it to my mouth (or very close to it)
  • I smile the biggest when: I see my sister. She is such a pretty dancer and so entertaining
  • Favorite person: Noodle (my sister). I am also very interested in my furry siblings (Bowie and Bacall)
  • Newest discovery: I have 2 teeth that both appeared on my actual month birthday. I am also good at grabbing my feet.
  • Favorite activity: Chewing on everything and being walked around held facing forward
  • Least favorite activity: Eating vegetables

    1st Pears

Our Tashi really does love food. Every time anyone eats anything around her, she is very interested in the food.

Her introduction to pears was a success.

    Happy after eating her pears.

    1st Day of School

Noodle's first day of preschool at The Spanish Academy was a total success!

She woke up extra early and got dressed faster than usual. On our way to the school she was all smiles and as we pulled into the carpool line she was happy.

When we first got into the line she was all smiles. As the line progressed and she saw the kids getting out of the cars and the parents leaving, she became a little nervous and asked me to stay with her.
When we first got into the line
Realizing that I was not going in with her
Since I didn't want her to be upset, I pulled out of the line and waited for Nico to arrive so they could go in together.

Noodle got out of the car without complaints and waited for Nico with the teacher
Off they go into class holding hands
Mommy was a bit sad to leave Noodle in school for the first time
The school is a block away from our home, which gives me plenty of time to run home and spend quality time with Tashi. We even had extra time to run some errands, when I drove past Noodle's school by chance the kids were out in the playground and I could see Noodle playing in the swings. She seemed perfectly happy.

She got out of the car so fast that she completely forgot her little blanket, I was very sad for her because I know she loves it, but the teacher said she did fine without it.
Oh no, she forgot her coco
The report from the teacher was: Total Success! She never cried or complaint, followed all the directions and was perfectly content. Once at the playground she asked for Mommy and when the teacher told her Mommy will be back for her soon, she seemed pleased with the answer.

She will continue going once a week for the rest of the semester and we will revisit the preschool discussion at the beginning of next year.

    Preschool, here she comes!

Noodle is very excited about her first day of preschool. She is only going one day a week, so it is a very small commitment. We weren't even planning on her going, but all her friends are going to some sort of school and she requested going as well.

School is so "protectivous" (we have no idea what it means)

Let's see if she loves it as much when it is time for her to get out of the car at carpool.

Last week, we attended together and met her classmates and Sra. Natalia and Sra. Karin. She was polite and enthusiastic; however, she kept telling me she didn't want to go in without me.
Doing an "oruga" with her friend Nico
