Birthday Fun (Part 3) - The Actual Day

On her actual birthday Little Noodle woke up happier than ever.
She woke up before Daddy left for work, so she got to unwrap her first gift with both Mommy and Daddy.
As soon as she saw the tent, she ran into it, she wanted everyone to sit in it with her and read books. It is small, so the space is a little tight, but we managed to fit into it.
The tent was a big hit
Later that morning, Abuelo and Yaya called her through Skype to sign her Feliz Cumpleaños.
While they spoke Noodle opened the gifts they sent her.

She spent the morning playing with her new toys in the tent. When it came time for nap, she refused to go to her room and requested to sleep in the tent instead.
With her milk and Coco ready for a nap
It took a while, but eventually she fell asleep and slept for almost 3 hours
When Daddy got home, it was time to open another gift.

She enjoys riding in her new tricycle. She still hasn't figured out how to maneuver it on her own, but she can pedal with her right foot.
For dinner we figured she would want to eat one of her favorites foods.
When I offered her pizza, the response was immediate and definite.
Pizza time!
Who needs pizza when you can eat cheese?!?
She ended up licking the plate and ended with cheese in her nose and hair.
After we got home she decided with this birthday, she was of age to drive.
Driving and reading!

Mommy had spent all day with Noodle in the tent, after her birthday dinner it was time for Ale and Daddy to join in.
Excited to show how old she is.
It does require a lot of concentration and most times her thumb gets in the way, but she knows her age, when asked, she respond: Dos!
Happy Birthday to you...
She had a fantastic second birthday filled with joy, laughter and celebrations.

Birthday Fun (Part 2) - The Party

Noodle invited her friends to a fun party for her 2nd birthday at one of her favorite places, Catch Air.
Playing with Prima Ale.
She loves the ball pit!
With Daddy at the top of the tower.
The fastest way down!
Jumping with excitement!
Getting ready to be celebrated on the dance floor with all her friends.
After all that running around, it was time to recharge with some pizza.
The cake was made of many cupcakes and the decoration was Angelina Ballerina.
Happy Birthday!
She just started loving cakes and sweets, and getting to lick her little Angelina Ballerina was a real treat for her.
She really had a blast during her entire party, just enjoyed every moment of it and even when it was over she still did not want to leave.
We stayed and extra hour playing around, at the end she simply walked towards the door and asked to get into the car. She was very tired!
You would think that after all that exercise she would have gone straight into a nap, but instead she got home and wanted to eat more cake.
Then, she wanted to open her gifts. She is not the type of child who devours through her presents. Instead she took her time opening each of them, enjoying them for a while and then asking for more. It took 6 days to open all her gifts, she would open 1 or 2 a day, at the end Daddy decided we had to just open the ones that were left to unwrap because otherwise Noodle was going to get confused and think she would get a gift every day forever.

She loved her birthday party, playing with all her friends at her favorite spot, eating her favorites foods, dressed as Angelina and getting presents on top of it all.
We are very proud of what a joyful, entertaining, intelligent and kind little girl she has become and can't wait to celebrate with her many more birthdays.

Music night

Since she was a baby Noodle has loved music. Dancing is one of her favorite things and as her vocabulary grows she is more interested in singing.
She has a set of toy music instruments which she plays with often, but on special nights she likes to play with Daddy on the piano.
On the latest installment of the music session, she also showed some interest in the guitar.

Cheese, Cheese and More Cheese

Queso is the first thing Noodle says when she sits at the table to eat.
She loves her cheese and it has gotten to the point where she eats cheese with cheese, literally!
Noodle, what do you want for breakfast?
Her common answer is queso please
Eating bread with sliced deli cheese and on top of that, parmesan cheese
I have to keep extra Kraft cheese in stock because she puts more after every bite.
She invited Angelina for lunch and the menu was pasta with cheese. I had to give Angelina a good rinse after because she was covered with cheese.

And for dinner she wanted macaroni and cheese with parmesan cheese
She really loves her queso. She puts it on chips, crackers, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, carrots, broccoli, anything that is savory gets a sprinkle of cheese on top. And of course her favorite dessert is Cheesecake!

Birthday Fun - Part 1

It has taken me a while to recuperate for Noodle's exciting birthday celebrations. In total we had three events to commemorate her 2nd birthday.
A few days before her actual birthday we celebrated together with our family her special day.
She was very happy when she realized the menu consisted of her favorite food: sandwiches and chips.
Mommy is no baker, but along with Prima Ale's we made her a cake with an Angelina Ballerina figurine to decorate it. She was thrilled when she saw the tiny Angelina.
Ready to open her presents!
She was so excited to be getting so many girly gifts and books.
She immediately wanted to put her crown on!
 With her new puppy
I love her face when looking at this gift, the excitement was caused by a tutu with a matching purse
Asking GG to read her a new book
Trying to figure out her new phone with Uncle J
With her new best friend, Angelina Ballerina
These books are the perfect size for her little hands, she takes them everywhere.
Ready for cookies and cake

She really enjoyed her pre-birthday celebration. She was in a great mood, was thrilled when she got her special birthday Angelina Ballerina outfit and all her ballerina goodies.
