First Performance

Today Noodle was in the middle of her second (ever) ballet class, when the instructor called us in for a special treat.

Noodle is the youngest in the class and all the other girls have done at least 3 classes more than her.

She was very proud of herself and loves watching the video.
I was very excited for her and impressed of her ability to do such a cute impromptu dancing performance.

Little Ballerina

Last week Noodle began Ballet/Gymnastic classes. She had been doing gymnastics for a while and was enrolled for another session of gymnastics, as we were leaving a few weeks backs she saw girls dressed   as ballerinas and asked why. We inquired and found out they had ballet lessons, so of course we changed.
On the first day, she was very excited.  Got dressed quickly and even tried to buckle herself into the car seat.
Noodle was so eager, she started dancing outside while we waited.

Practicing her moves
She was a little nervous when it came time to go to the instructor. She is the youngest in the class and it was her first time (all the other girls had done it for at least 2 weeks).
Sitting in her chosen spot - she seemed a little nervous

She exited the class with the biggest smile, so happy and enthusiastic about her new experience.
The rest of the week she has spent it pretending to teach the class to anyone or anything that would follow her directions.

First Solids

Our baby Tashi is one hungry girl. If she sees anyone eating, she stares at the food waiting for her turn.  She is so interested in food, the pediatrician recommended we introduce her to oatmeal baby cereal.

With Noodle we started solids at Month 6. She wasn't too impressed with it, in fact she was not interested at all. She would spit most of it.

With Tashi we just started trying it (2 months earlier) and as expected it, she loves it. In fact, I can't feed it to her fast enough.

The first time she was a little surprised about the process and wasn't sure what to do.
Today, on her 3rd day as soon as I sat her on the chair and took the spoon out she started kicking and once the spoon neared her face she would open her mouth and would not spit any of it.

We are mermaids!

Noodle hosted her friends swim lessons with her swim teacher.

On Monday, she got in the water reluctantly.
On Tuesday, she cried the entire class.
On Wednesday, she started enjoying it.
On Thursday, she decided she was swimming like a dolphin.
On Friday, there was no stopping her.  We had to force her to rest!

She is very proud of her new skills and most importantly she is having fun.
Now, all the friends can have fun together in the pool!

At the beach - Part 1

We brought the girls to the beach to celebrate Tashi's 4th month.
The 6 hour drive was as smooth as it could go. Both girls were pleasant and we only had one 30 minute dinner stop.

It is a bit loud, but there is so much to see
One of many naps on the beach. So relaxing!
While Tashi slept, Noodle entertained herself swimming in the pool and building castles in the beach.

What should I build?
I woke up so happy!
I want to swim too
Mommy couldn't find Tashi's swim diaper, so she had to sit it out the first day.

This is the best I could get of both of them together
I love this place!
The beach is vey relaxing for the entire family.
Tashi and Noodle have been taking 2+ naps each day and in between we do short beach or pool trips.

Olympics

We have been big fans of the Olympics, it is inspiring to see such great athletes. Even more exciting is getting to experience the Olympics from a toddler's perspective.

Noodle has showed interest in almost all sports; however, gymnastics, swimming and running are our favorites.

We got so inspired, we tried our own mini Olympics:

Doing the bars
Headstand

With gymnast hair
High jump

Getting taped up like the girls on TV
Daddy got in on the action
Mommy also giving it her best effort
Even caterpillar wanted to give it a try

It has been a nightly ritual to watch the Olympics and we have very much enjoyed it. However, I am also looking forward to returning to our normal bedtimes, the recent 10pm late nights for our toddler have been catching up with her during the day.

Climbing

Daddy enjoys sharing with Noodle his interests; mountain climbing is a common topic in our home and Noodle is very familiar with it.

They recently spent some time belaying puppy dog up the stairs.

In their tutus

Noodle was so excited to receive a new tutu as a gift from Yaya.

She was even more excited when she realized that her baby sister was wearing her own little tutu.
