Little has started a gymnastics class.
At first it may seem a bit of an exaggeration to have a toddler in a gymnastics class, but the goal is not for her to become the next Nadia Comaneci.
It is very beneficial to have her sit down an stretch and to have to follow directions. The whole class is a series of obstacle courses the group has to follow in an orderly manner.
One of the obstacle courses |
The first time we went for the trial, I did not think she was going to do what she was told to do when she was told to do it, but she proved me wrong.
Waiting for her turn |
Ready for the slide |
Up and down the stairs |
Listening to the directions for the high bar. I help her and she holds on to the bar and tries to lift her legs. |
Maneuvering through the down steps |
Tunnel |
Climbing the latter |
Bouncing in the trampoline |
At the end of the class, they run in circles following the instructor and playing green light, red light.
The best part of the class for Little is bubble time.
Eating the bubbles |
Catching the bubbles |
